  • Dr Yasser Tariq is an ophthalmologist with expertise in treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusions.

    Dr Tariq studied science and medicine at the University of New South Wales. His specialty training in ophthalmology was through Sydney Eye Hospital. His medical retina subspecialty fellowship training was at Westmead Hospital.

    Dr Tariq was awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney in 2013 for his investigation into the normative values and associations of retinal measurements by optical coherence tomorgraphy. He is the first author of several publications in internationally renowned journals. He has been regularly involved in teaching of ophthalmology registrars, other doctors and medical students and holds an academic appointment as a clinical associate lecturer at the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney.
